Initially, when Coba
arrived to work at Savanna with our Housekeeping
department, the ladies were very suspicious and
negative towards her. Housekeeping had always been
our biggest headache. The Housekeeping ladies had
been so set in their ways for many years and not at
all open to change. However, with Coba’s enthusiasm
and coaching skills, they were soon won over and
little by little began to understand the reasons
behind the necessity for change. Coba carried them
through all the stages of housekeeping with a great
emphasis put on hygiene in the rooms and their own
personal hygiene. The laundry itself has been
completely sorted out into a very orderly and now
secure place. We then witnessed a great turn around
with our Housekeeping ladies. Coba has instilled
pride and enthusiasm in them in their approach
towards their work. This was all done in the spirit
of fun with everyone being involved and a great
sharing of ideas and role playing. Their change in
attitude has been amazing and we have since received
enormous compliments and the highest marks from our
guests over room cleanliness. We cannot thank Coba
enough and can hardly believe when we look back at
how many changes have come about, all very
positive. We hope very much that these new
standards will be upheld and have all benefited from
such a huge learning curve.
